Noribachi’s Engineering Services team will work with the customer to design tailored product solutions when necessary.

INTRODUCTION

Sometimes a customer has a specific lighting request that cannot be achieved using a standard LED bulb; examples include fitting in an unusual fixture or providing more light. To accommodate these special requests, Noribachi is pleased to offer bespoke bulb design. By partnering with Noribachi to develop a custom product, customers receive Noribachi quality in a uniquely tailored solution.

WHAT KIND OF PRODUCT REQUESTS QUALIFY?

Generally, anything that invokes the versatile modular nature of our proprietary CLU build system is a possibility. For example, if a customer desires to add or subtract a CLU, change the configuration of the CLUs or angle the CLUs, we may be able to create a solution. In general, anything that invokes the versatile modular nature of our proprietary CLU build system is a possibility.

WHAT’S INVOLVED IN CREATING NON-STANDARD PRODUCT?

While it may look like just attaching another CLU, in order to ensure the high quality standards Noribachi is proud to uphold, Noribachi puts these products through rigorous in-house testing and analysis, including heat profile data gathering, foot candle mapping, and engineering design modification. At the customer’s request, Noribachi can also send the product for independent lab testing to gather LM79 and in situ reports.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE?

For standard development with in-house testing only, the product lead time is generally increased by 2 weeks. When LM79 or in situ reports are requested, turnaround time is limited by the independent testing lab’s schedule, but generally adds 8 weeks to the product lead time.

With a purchase of 100 or more pieces of the new product, the development cost is credited towards the purchase.

HOW DOES IT WORK?
  1. A customer expresses interest in a non-standard product.
  2. A customer request is sent to Noribachi via the sales team.
  3. Noribachi verifies that the product modification falls within the scope of non-standard development and provides a quote for standard development, LM79, and in situ testing.
  4. Discussion with sales rep about which level of development best fits customer needs.
  5. Payment issued to Noribachi for the level of development selected.
  6. Noribachi conducts in-house testing and design, sending out the product for testing if necessary.
  7. Noribachi provides you with a testing report and pricing for the newly developed product.
