Lt. Gen. Leo Marquez (Ret.)

Leo Marquez retired in 1987 as a Lieutenant General after a 33-year career in the United States Air Force. He held many staff and command positions in several Major Air Commands, at HQ. USAF and in the Canadian Armed Forces. His last assignment was as the Deputy Chief of Staff for Logistics and Engineering at Air Force Headquarters in the Pentagon where he commanded a workforce of 23,000 military and Civil Service personnel responsible for several aircraft and Ballistic Missile fleets worldwide.

After retirement from active duty, Leo joined The Spectrum Group, a management consulting and lobbying firm based in Alexandria, VA. He has successfully lobbied the Congress on behalf of many Defense and Aviation firms seeking legislation or changes/additions to the defense budget. He has served as a Corporate Vice President of an environmental engineering company, as Board Chairman and CEO of an aerospace company specializing in the design and manufacture of noise attenuation devises for jet aircraft. Leo is currently CEO of his own consulting company specializing in Airlines and Defense matters and COO and President of Kinetic Lubricants, a start-up company that manufactures and distributes a superior oil additive.

Leo has served New Mexico as a Regent of one of the State Universities, and on the Board of Regents of the Museums of New Mexico. His education includes BS degrees in Chemistry and Zoology from New Mexico State University and an MSBA from the George Washington University. He is also a distinguished graduate of the Air Command and Staff College and the National Defense College.
